Explore their menu, read reviews, get directions and compare prices before you go! Don't be mislead or dismayed by the seemingly uninspired brunch menu; biscuits and gravy, baked eggs, and chorizo hash come alive with a Mediterranean flare. The biscuits and gravy has arugula and lamb sausage but no eggs, for instance. Agrodolce's sister restaurant offers a comfortable and gorgeous interior, generous pours, and portions that will leave you full but not suffering from a Denny's- plate- induced miasma. Nice touch: this place is right across the street from a hospital, so if you choke on some lamb sausage you're all set. We've been here twice for dinner, once with my amazing significantly better half, and then she wanted to take my parents here while we were visiting. The best way I can describe the food here is hit or miss. However, when something is a hit, it's a complete homerun. Examples of knocking it out of the park are their hand rolled spanikopita, the french fries, and the bulgur meat balls. All are delicious, and very well executed. The trio of dips are all very good; the muhammara in particular was delicious. I didn't care for the peas in the hummus though. Hummus is amazing by itself, why add peas? A couple misses would be the .
There was a smokey/roasted flavor that smacked you in the face and over powered the dish. The moroccan roll was also underseasoned at a little boring. The cherry pot de creme (again not on the online menu) was good, but unfortunately the custard was too delicate and the flavor was again blasted out of the water and completely over powered by the candied lemon. Beer menu is small, but well conceived. The cocktail menu is fun, and was a hit with my cocktail loving better half. Overall, there are some absolute gems on the menu. I get what people are talking about. I always like to start with a positive, so the appetizers we ordered were delish. The two I ordered were baba ghanoush and muhammara with pita. I have ordered these on multiple occasions because I know they are consistently tasty. The negative would be the lack of service/attention even though the bar only had two people at it, mom and I, and the restaurant itself was not that busy for a Friday at 5: 4. Pretty sure the drink quantity was maybe 4 oz, 5 tops and pretty sure we were up charged for our drinks. Their muhammara, hummus, other dips, and pita chips are scrumptious. The gyro I had had so much wetness in it, the pita was soggy when I ate it. I picked it up right up and started when it was served so I hadn't let it sit. They could offer refills on iced tea. We got checked on but refills were not offered. I asked for the first refill and didn't bother asking for another. I think it's nice when restaurants offer refills, especially when they're already checking on you. They could use a changing table in the restroom. I love that they have a parking lot but it will probably be awhile till I'm back. The restaurant is beautiful and I really enjoy the atmosphere and decor. I am so disappointed that this wonderful restaurant is ditching the wonderful innovative international cuisine in favor of creating a burger and beer joint. In sure Maria will make it special but I don't eat burgers and junk food. I enjoyed the seafood risotto and was blown away. Muscles, clams and pork belly in a beautiful broth was to die for. I love this place and will continue to come back. Came during happy hour right as the restaurant opened at 4: 3. PM and stayed until 8: 3. PM for dinner so I got a good sampling of drinks and appetizers and small plates. It's in a strip mall next to a Fedex Kinko's but inside it's decent and a nice place to sit. Service: Our server was attentive but she was serving quite a few tables as it started filling up, and so service was a bit patchy. I went a full 1. 5- 2. I wanted another one. Rosemary margarita ($7) wasn't the best I've had but decent. There is a decent selection of beers and wines too, beers typically $5- 7. Food: We also ordered the happy hour special appetizers, olives ($4), mini squash pizza ($7), Spiced Fries (with beef fat) $5. The fries were delicious, pizza was ok, crust was thin and well done. For dinner we ordered the trio of dips with pita bread ($1. It's a nice place to come for a drink with nice appetizers that are a little different from chicken wings and sliders! They do have a burger on the happy hour menu, maybe I will try that next time. Food 3. 5/5, Service 3/5, Ambience/Decor/Cleanliness 3/5, Value 3/5. All three of the people in my party were underwhelmed by our cocktails and dinner at the Golden Beetle. The food was fine, but just that: fine. Definitely not worth the trip from South Seattle. The wine list is impressive, but our cocktails were mediocre. The standout part of the meal was the dessert. Both of the ones we tried were excellent! The service was friendly and attentive. That said, I can get good desserts and good service closer to home, so I don't plan to go back. We went here for brunch, and the food was fantastic. What wasn't fantastic was the 2. If they'd have been busy I wouldn't have been so annoyed. Our table the biscuit and gravy with lamb gravy, the farmers breakfast with bacon, and the burger from the brunch menu. Additionally we ordered the rhubarb and ricotta pastry with walnuts and pear. Everything tastes absolutely amazing, and we will definitely be back, but next time I'll eat a snack before we go. Food was good, tasty. No, it's the exact opposite. The man at the front was a complete snob and eventually sat us down in the corner by a group of obnoxious guest who were talking about worms and spiders, Thanks, but no thanks. Our food was unpalatable. I ordered the lamb pizza, my fianc. Those were bad mistakes. The two entrees were unappetizing. The flavor components don't work. If they think this is fine dining, they have it completely wrong. This place left a sour note on my palate and I will never pay a visit or waste my money on food that is complete garbage. This is by far the worst Mediterranean cuisine in Seattle. Food was so so, waited a long time before server came over though weekday crowd in restaurant was not busy. Not a ton of good plant based options. Meh. I can only vouch for the experience I had at Golden Beetle. Moreover I have many friends who are vegans, and we can all find something tasty to eat here with no problem whatsoever. If I had to recommend one dish it would be the Baba Ghanoush because it has just the right amount of garlic. The seared crusted halibut is also very good. We had lunch here on a very busy Monday afternoon. I loved my Pita sandwich and the humus appetizer. Casual restaurant with typical mediterranean fair. Excellent food, but expensive. Portions were a bit small, but we didn't leave hungry. Service was on the slow side, but we didn't have anywhere to be since it was just dinner. Great treat. We had an excellent dinner on Saturday. We waited a very long time for our food. Although the food was very flavorful, it was extremely fatty, which made everything we ate very heavy. My friend and I didn't feel well for hours after our meal. Maybe my stomach is weak but I won't be going back.
